INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ‘26
Join us for our 3rd Annual International Women’s Day Celebration, sponsored by CRIW and our partner Yale OISS – Office of International Students and Scholars along with generous cosponsors.
From Ukraine to Sudan and beyond, women navigate displacement, discrimination, violence, and loss—while leading with courage, sustaining families, rebuilding communities, and imagining peace. This event centers the lived experiences of women impacted by war and conflict and honors their strength, voices, and leadership.
The gathering features a moderated discussion with:
Faihaa Dafalla (Sudan) – Yale School of Public Health
Oksana Goroshchuk (Ukraine) – Yale School of Medicine
Moderated by Nour Al Zouabi (Syria)
The program concludes with a Halal reception celebrating community, catered by local refugee and immigrant women chefs from CitySeed’s Sanctuary Kitchen, Kandaka Sudanese Cuisine and Havenly.
